ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT POLICY

Cavvanba Consulting is committed to minimising its ecological footprint by pursuing environmental best practice and the prevention of pollution in office management and general operations.

By adopting the philosophy of rethink, reduce, reuse, repair, and recycle, Cavvnaba will:

  • identify, review and manage our environmental impacts, potential risks and opportunities for improvement

  • develop and implement environmental management programmes to continually improve performance and realise opportunities for environmentally positive contribution

  • minimise waste-to-landfill, greenhouse gas emissions and other pollution, and better use power, water and natural resources, in part by employing environmental considerations in purchasing decisions

  • incorporate environmental management considerations into our core business plans and management practices

  • monitor and report on our environmental performance where appropriate

  • actively promote and encourage the adoption of ecologically sustainable work practices and operations within our organisation, with our clients, suppliers, and the general community

  • as a minimum, comply with applicable legal and other requirements

  • communicate this policy and other environmental management commitments to all staff and make this policy available to the public on our website


WORK HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

Cavvanba Consulting Pty Ltd ensures that the health, safety and welfare of its employees, contractors, suppliers and clients is of the utmost importance and will manage its workplace in such a manner to ensure as far as is reasonably practicable, that the highest standards of health and safety are maintained.

Cavvanba commits to:

  • provide and maintain a healthy working environment at all times through safe systems of work

  • promote risk management to identify, assess, control and review risk factors in the workplace

  • ensure adequate control of health and safety risks arising from work activities, including communication with employees, clients and sub-contractors

  • provide all required instruction, training, supervision and other relevant health and safety information to employees

  • ensure that all employees are competent in the work activities they are engaged in

  • continue to consult with and update employees on all health and safety issues

  • ensure that all incidents are investigated and injured employees are returned to suitable work at the earliest opportunity

  • ensure that this policy and the work health and safety management system is regularly reviewed.


ETHICAL STANDARDS POLICY

Cavvanba Consulting Pty Ltd seeks to be known for its technical knowledge and strong client relationships. Cavvanba strives to be field leaders, and to be a triple bottom line company, that is; health and safety, environmental and social performance, as well as financial performance will be equally important. This Ethical Standards Policy (CC-ESP) has been developed to provide a basis for the standards upon which all Cavvanba staff will conduct day to day business.

Cavvanba will do the utmost to ensure:

  • that all staff return home safely at the end of each work day

  • that the well-being of all Cavvanba staff is a key objective

  • that Cavvanba encourages honesty, integrity, collaboration, equal opportunity and equality in the work place

In adopting this ethical standards policy, Cavvanba will:

  • treat its fellow staff-members, work colleagues and clients with the utmost respect

  • only carry out services for which it has appropriate levels of competency and experience

  • never include in a report a statement that it knows to be untrue

  • never knowingly omit any information from a finalised report that would materially alter the conclusions that could be drawn from the report

  • never endorse information supplied by a client or any other organisation without taking reasonable steps to determine the validity of the information or where this is not possible, note that such independent verification has not been obtained

  • inform the client in writing should any staff member become aware of an issue that may result in a significant risk of harm that has not yet been reported

  • work with, and engage others (sub-contractors, clients etc.) who hold similar values and standards

  • incorporate ethical standards considerations into our core business plans and management practices

  • always respect and observe the copyright and intellectual property of other individuals and organisations

  • only give or receive small gifts or entertainment in order to build business relationships, never with the intent to change the objectivity of a business decision

  • never partake in any form of bribery or corruption and never give or receive an undue reward or payment intended to influence behavior or gain a commercial advantage

  • be aware of situations where conflicts of interest may arise, and declare any conflicts openly and transparently, or remove ourselves from such situations

  • incorporate ethical standards considerations into our core business plans and management practices

  • actively promote and encourage the adoption of fair trade and ecologically sustainable work practices and operations within the organisation, with clients, suppliers, and the general community

  • comply with all applicable legal and other regulatory requirements

  • use a proportion of our profits to support non-religious, non-political causes working to improve the lives of disadvantaged people and reduce poverty through skills development, self help and provision of medical necessities
